The engagement

Mission Sprint

A scoped operational evaluation

One operational problem. A defined data boundary. A decision at the end.

A Mission Sprint configures Serpens against a bounded operational use case with explicit acceptance criteria, security constraints, data permissions, and operator authority. The objective is not to force a deployment. It is to produce enough evidence to decide whether one is warranted.

§ 01

The four stages

01

Define

Mission, intended users, constraints, and the acceptance criteria that would demonstrate usefulness.

02

Bound

Data, permissions, environment, and authority — which actions are analytical and which require approval.

03

Configure & evaluate

Connect the required modules and evaluate against simulated, representative, or authorized operational conditions.

04

Review

Evidence, observed limitations, outcomes, and a recommendation — continue, modify, expand, or stop.

§ 02

What you keep

  1. Deliverable 1 The relevant Serpens system configured against the agreed use case and data boundary.
  2. Deliverable 2 Sources, transformations, outputs, assumptions, and provenance captured during the evaluation.
  3. Deliverable 3 An operational artifact: an exercise, operating picture, risk register, workflow, or implementation plan.
  4. Deliverable 4 An evaluation memorandum: what worked, what did not, limitations, and whether expansion is warranted.
A PRODIGY Sprint artifact: the role gate asking an operator to select their operational domain before the engine configures itself.

§ 03

Where to start

Bring an operational problem, not an AI use case.

Sprints run against any of the ten offerings. If the problem does not require Serpens, that should become clear before a large implementation begins.
